After six years of private practice in Anchorage, Mr. Goff joined the Alaska Public Defenders Association in Kenai, Alaska and represented indigent defendants in misdemeanor, felony and child welfare cases. In 2003, Mr. Goff opened a private practice in Homer, Alaska, with an emphasis on felony criminal defense and family law. In 2005, Mr. Goff joined the Alaska Attorney General's Office, were he represented the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services in complex child protection proceedings and advised the Department on compliance with state and federal child protection laws, including the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Indian Child Welfare Act. Mr. Goff has tried numerous cases, including felony jury trials and contested termination of parental rights bench trials.
